Grant funding from Leeds Area Quaker Meeting
Leeds Area Quaker Meeting makes grants to local individuals and groups for a variety of purposes:
- Members of Leeds Area Quaker Meeting who are in financial need;
- The upkeep and renovation of Quaker Meeting Houses in the Leeds area;
- Voluntary and charitable organisations in the Yorkshire area, including non-Quaker groups.
A total of around £7,000 is allocated each year. Grants are considered and awarded by the Leeds Area Quaker Meeting Trustees, consisting of representatives from each local Meeting in Leeds Area Meeting. The Trustees meet four times a year, usually in January, April, July and October. Grants are agreed at those meetings – decisions between meetings can be made in exceptional circumstances.
