Here's what's happening just before, just after and during Quaker Week 2011...


Wednesday September 21 ‘Blessing’ a film from Gaza on the UN International Day of Peace.   The film will be followed by a short discussion.   7:30pm at Roundhay QMH, 136 Street Lane, LS8 2BW. DOWNLOAD FLYER

Saturday September 24: Bradford Peace Museum – meet on the 10:40 train from Leeds (10:21 Ilkley).  Visit the Peace Museum, followed by lunch at Bradford Quaker Meeting House and then enjoy a visit to the  National Film Museum / Imax.  No need to book. DOWNLOAD FLYER

Sunday October 2Quaker Peace Vigil at 3pm in Leeds City Centre- meet outside the Art Gallery on The Headrow.

Wednesday October 5: Quaker Quest evening at Carlton Hill Quaker Meeting House 6:30 refreshments – 7pm start – an introduction evening for all those interested in finding out more about Quakers.  188 Woodhouse Lane, LS2 9DX

Friday October 7: The Chocolate Paradox – some reflections on pleasure, profit and principle – a new play to be performed at Ilkley Quaker Meeting House, Queens Road, LS29 9QJ.     7:30pm – free admission. DOWNLOAD FLYER

Saturday October 8 ‘Leeds Alternative Fair’ at Carlton Hill QMH from 12noon to 4pm – stalls, workshops, food, information – making our lives better...   188 Woodhouse Lane, LS2 9DX (opposite Leeds Uni) DOWNLOAD FLYER

Sunday October 9: ‘The Quaker Business Method’ – at Roundhay QMH  workshop from 1:15 to 3pm preceded by lunch.  136 Street Lane, Leeds

Wednesday October 12: ‘George Fox and Margaret Fell get stuck in a lift' will be performed by the Quaker Theartre Company  at Lidgitt Park Methodist Church Hall.   Tickets £5 with £3 for concessions. DOWNLOAD FLYER
